Cumberland Farms and Kroger Each Win Five States in Q2 Foot Traffic Report

Summer road tripping was well under way in Q2, and GasBuddy users were making stops to fuel up and stock up at stations and stores across the country. In addition to revealing the top 10 brands with the highest average footfall across the fuel industry, GasBuddy and Cuebiq examined brands with highest average footfall by state in its Q2 Foot Traffic Report for the Fuel and Convenience Store Industry. In all, 10 brands captured multiple states this quarter.

Cumberland Farms and Kroger captured the most states in Q2, with five apiece. Cumberland Farms dominated the northeast region of the U.S., taking the top spot in five Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Kroger took states in three regions, capturing Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Tennessee and West Virginia.

  • Wawa (four states: Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia)
  • Speedway (three states: Illinois, New York and Wisconsin)

  • Fred Meyer (two states: Oregon and Washington)
  • Maverik (two states: Idaho and Wyoming)
  • Sheetz (two states: Ohio and North Carolina)
  • Smith’s (two states: Nevada and Utah)
