And even though we’re used to seeing a wide range of prices, the team at GasBuddy still goes WHOA when we see high prices. Here are some of the scariest we’ve seen lately. You might not want to “trick-or-treat” at the stations where you see these prices!

Sorry, California. Some of the highest prices being reported reside in Essex, Cantil and Goleta. But of the 20 highest price reports in our system this week, California had 18. At close to $5, that’s enough to turn us white as a ghost!

Breaking the $4 mark is a station on the island of Maui in Hawaii. Sometimes touring a boo-tiful paradise does come at a higher cost!
