Ricker’s Tops Q1 Study on Average Footfall Per Station

|

In partnership with location-intelligence leaders, Cuebiq, GasBuddy recently released a first-of-its kind report on foot traffic patterns for the fuel and convenience store industry. We examined location visit data at more than 100 fuel and convenience store brands, encompassing more than 23.5 million visits across the U.S., from January 1 to March 31.

Which fuel brand earned the highest average footfall per station? Indiana-based gas and convenience store chain Ricker’s came in at the top, with more than four times the industry average, followed by fellow Indiana chain Family Express. Thortons captured the third spot.

Fuel brands with 30 or more locations were measured. Average footfall was calculated by total footfall/number of locations.

For budget-minded drivers, GasBuddy is the travel and navigation app that is used by more North American drivers to save money on gas than any other. Unlike fuel retailer apps, as well as newer apps focused on fuel savings, GasBuddy covers 150,000+ gas stations in North America, giving drivers 27 ways to save on fuel. That’s why GasBuddy has been downloaded nearly 90 million times – more than any other travel and navigation app focused on gas savings.
